Easy Ways To Meditate - Anytime. Anywhere

The benefits of incorporating meditation into your daily life are astounding. It allows you to think clearly and remain calm even when faced with stressful situations. It can give you a burst of energy and lift your mood when your spirits are low. If your problem is finding time and space to actually do it, consider the following easy ways to meditate anytime of the day and anywhere you happen to be.

You can meditate a million different ways depending on your location and situation, but you must always pay attention to two things: posture and breathing.

The first step is to find the quietest location and get into the most comfortable position possible. You don’t have to get on the floor and cross your legs. Just sitting in a chair and relaxing all of your muscles is adequate.

Your posture must be upright with your head held high. Focus on straightening your spine so you sit up tall, roll your shoulders back and relax so that the air can pass easily through your body. Your eyes should close or focus straight ahead, sort of narrowed in just a little.

For your breathing, follow a pattern that is slow and deliberate. For example, inhale slowly for a count of eight and then hold it there for another count of eight before slowly releasing. Counting will help you control the intake and release of air so that you get the full benefits of your time.

Sitting with your spine properly aligned and breathing in a slow, deliberate manner is the most simplistic form of meditation. You can also incorporate a word or sound that relaxes you even further, even if you hold it in your head without speaking it out. Either say it continuously or just use it once before releasing you exhale.

You can use these easy ways to meditate literally anywhere. It can be changed up according to your situation and positions available, and others do not have to know what you are doing.
