Treating Cold Sore

Cold sores are groups of small fluid filled blisters on the lips and around the mouth. This is no cure for cold sores but there are cold sore treatments that show you how to get rid of cold sore. The essential amino acid Lysine has also been found to slow down the spread of the herpes simplex virus. You will get some Lysine from your regular diet but your body will mos tlikely absorb more by taing Lysine supplements. Lysine ointment will also speed up the healing process and it does not have any unpleasant side effects. A common treatment to heal cold sore is Zinc. However, it has to be a zinc lozenge. Put it directly on the lesions or blisters till it dissolves.
